As a WCHS Member, you will receive our Flashback quarterly journal and Flashforward newsletter (five times a year) which will update you on Society activities and events. You can also visit our website for background on Washington County history, for scheduling tours of Headquarters House, or historic walks in Fayetteville.
Membership dues are the main source of income to care for our historic properties, publish our two membership periodicals (Flashback and Flashforward), and carry on all Society activities throughout the year.
Membership dues run each calendar year regardless of when members may join. Membership renewal windows for the upcoming year will be sent to all current members in September.

DONATIONS
The Washington County Historical Society welcomes donations that help in the pursuit of our mission to discover, preserve and celebrate the history of the county and to share that heritage with others.
Donations may be general gifts or memorials. General donations ensure the future programming and preservation of Washington County history. Memorials are a thoughtful way to honor the life of a loved one. WCHS is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, so donations are tax deductible. Members, please note that any payment above the $30 membership fee is considered a gift to the society.
